Ho, Ho, Ho, Seven Days to Go!

Time flies when you are having fun. The 2016-17 school year is just seven school days away from being half finished.
These seven days are packed with lots of things to remember and get accomplished.
This Wednesday we have Mass.  So have your child do a small chore to earn change for the collection.
This Thursday the  children can buy slightly used books from the Library for 25 cents.
Friday is a Spirit Wear Day.
Next Monday there will not be a new list of Word Journal vocabulary.  However, there will be Math homework on most of the school evenings from now to the Christmas break.
Tuesday is Dress Down for a $1.00 Day to benefit the new play ground.  We will be attending the Vogelweid  Learning Center presentation of a Journey to Bethlehem.  And at the end of the day, we have the long anticipated Christmas Party!
Wednesday we are right back here at school for the last day of the second quarter.  We will end appropriately with Mass.  During that Mass the students will bring up the new or gently used gifts your family has donated for Birth Right.  The school has taken part in this project for several years.  It is a very fitting way to honor the birth of Jesus.

I love spending this time of year with the children.  There is no better way to celebrate Christmas than seeing the world through their eyes filled with the wonder and joy of the season.  Today while we were quietly working on reading workbook pages, one of the children starting humming Jingle Bells.  Before I knew it the whole class was singing along, even me!
