Back to Work

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving break with your children.  I heard all kinds of stories about family gathering, short trips, and putting up Christmas decorations.  And with that word Christmas comes a sense of urgency.  The second quarter comes to a close in three weeks and three days.  OH MY!   Final testing over Word Journal vocabulary, saying the Our Father and math skills has begun.  

It is a busy time of year but still an important academic time.  We will take the lexile test on Wednesday to check on comprehension levels.  Encourage your child to read slowly and not rush through the test. While your driving in the car, have your child say the Our Father to you and practice counting to 100 by 2's.  Take advantage of every minute.  It's all down hill from here.

There is a new list of Word Journal vocabulary this week.  There will also be math homework every night this week.
