Book logs are filling up and so is the sticker chart in the classroom. The more they practice reading, the stronger their skills become. It is exciting for me to see those skills developing. There is no homework on the weekends but some of the children are wanting to bring a book home to read over the weekend to earn another sticker.
Book orders are in the book bag tonight. Please enter them on line or send the order form and check in by October 4.
Friday is a Spirit Wear Day as usual. Don't forget the High Frequency Notebook is due back tomorrow signed. The students are being individually tested over those words for a report card grade now. So, it would be a good idea to review the previous lists just to make sure they know them well.
There will be math homework Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week so be on the look out for that.
I am continuing to call parents for the mid-quarter phone conference. If I do call and can not reach you, I will leave a message and try to call again.
