Stories

Mondays are always filled with fun stories of the weekend.  Today was filled with stories of snowball fights and sledding.  Remember to send the children with heavy coats, gloves and a hat or scarf.  We try to take them out if the wind chill is not below 25 degrees.
I loved reading the responses to the persuasive letters they wrote to you.  I couldn't keep from laughing at a few of them. Their writing skills have improved so much in the last few months.
We will have a new list of Word Journal vocabulary. There is also a new list of spelling words.  The pretest is on Wednesday with the final test on Friday.  This week I also will say a sentence with some of the spelling words in it.  The children will have to write the sentence as part of the test.  They have to spell the words correctly in the sentence and on the test for it to be counted correct. 
We are in need of graham crackers or regular saltine crackers for snack.  We have completely run out of all the others donated.  It is so helpful to have these in the classroom for the children that occasionally forget something.
Tomorrow is the second Tuesday of the month so don't forget about the 1:30 early dismissal and the beloved dress down day!
