Race to the Finish

The time is just flying in the classroom.  The spring weather has the children excited but we are still working hard.  The most difficult academic work still lies ahead of us in these next five weeks.
All of the children still have the opportunity to earn the ice cream party for the points in the  Scholastic Reading Counts program.  So keep reading those books nightly and on the weeks ends.
We will have a new list of Word Journal vocabulary each week from now until the lat week of school.  There will be math homework as well, more than likely, each night of the week Monday through Thursday.
This week we have the Talent Show.  It is so much fun to see the children displaying their great talents. 
Next week we have Earth Day on  Friday, April 22 at the Capitol.  So far, we only have four parents who have volunteers to help supervise.  At this point that just is not enough supervision for me to feel comfortable to take the children. A two or three child to one adult ratio works the best. So, please check your calendar and see if you are available that afternoon.  If you are, please let me know.
So much to do, so little time.  So keep up the pace in the race to the finish!
