Next Week

There are many things happening next week.
We will be having the collection for the Box of Joy Program.  Please send in a $1 to help with shipping and one small gift donation to benefit needy child.  Items like tooth paste, tooth brushes, soap, a small stuffed animal, mechanical pencils, or regular pencils with a small sharpener, a box of crayons or a notebook will all mail easily.  The deadline for this is next Friday, November 11.  We have a goal of 100% participation with a reward of a movie, popcorn and a juice box for the class if we reach our goal.
Starting Monday shorts are no longer allowed until next spring. There will be a new set of Word Journal  vocabulary due back with your signature on Wednesday.
Tuesday is a 1:30 early dismissal and a dress down.  First grade will take part in a mock election to decide who they think is the best choice for president of the country and governor in the state of Missouri.  From the comments I have been hearing, I could predict the winner.  But, I won't.
Please remember to have your child do some small chore to earn a few coins for tithing at Mass on Wednesday.
Friday we will be observing Veterans Day with special classroom activities and an assembly.  As usual, Friday is a Spirit Wear Day.
