It's Not Over

The canned food drive is not over.  It is a two week event.  So keep bringing in the food to help the needy.
I am so pleased with the progress the children are making with reading and writing.  As I looked at the journal entry they sent home for you to read on Friday, it was obvious their written language is developing nicely. Thank you for responding to them.  They love to tell me what you wrote back!
We will have the usual new list of Word Journal vocabulary and math homework each night this week.
Our topic in many subjects last week and this week has to do with the season of fall and apples.  We have worked apples into math, science and reading.  Don't forget, apples played a big part in religion, too. Adam and Eve ate the most famous apple in history! And that has been in our curriculum these past few weeks as well.  Tomorrow we are going to make applesauce.  Ask your child to tell you some of the things they have learned about apples.
