Pray

It was very fitting, we had a presenter here at school today with many relics deemed at the first and second class level by the Catholic church.  There were strips of the Blessed Mother's clothing, a remnant of the crib St Joseph made for Jesus and a piece of the Crown of Thorns Jesus wore..  There were also bones of St John the Apostle along with relics of dozens of Saints.  The children were allowed the touch the relics.  They were also given a Divine Mercy Picture, a Miraculous Medal and a Rosary, all of them blessed by priest.  They were allowed to touch the Rosary to the relics.  God is so good to give us this opportunity in an uncertain time.  I have asked the children to use the Rosary they were given to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries while we are off school.  There is a Sorrowful Mysteries booklet in the packet I am sending home tonight.  What a timely blessing for our children to receive!
