Today we started lesson 15 of our Journey's reading series. By the end of next week, we will have made it successfully to the halfway point of the reading and math series. That's quite an accomplishment for this group considering there was no on-site learning during the entire fourth quarter of their kindergarten year. I am so proud of their hard work and success.
Tomorrow is a dress down day(even though we are attending Mass) and early dismissal at 1:15pm. There is no After School Care tomorrow either. Mrs. Trachsel is staggering the dismissal times to alleviate congestion in the parking lot. PreK, kindergarten, first and second grade, along with their siblings are dismissing at 1:15. Hopefully, within 10 minutes, those students will be in their cars and gone so the parents of students in grades 3-8 can enter the parking lot for pick up.
As usual, there is a new list of High-Frequency Words due back on Thursday, 12-10. There will be math homework Monday through Thursday evenings as well as the nightly reading.
