Valentines, Mission Party

We are having a Valentines exchange this Friday.  There are 14 children in the class.  No need to write the individual names of each child on the Valentine cards.  Just make sure your child writes his/ her name on each. I will have the children pass them out randomly.
Next Monday is Mission Party Day.  Instructions were in the Family Packet about buying the tickets ahead of time.  Several children have already brought in the money.  It was good to see so many parents sign up to help with that day.  It is such a fun time for the children.
As usual, the nightly reading continues.  There is a new list of Word Journal vocabulary.  There will be a spelling pretest on Wednesday with the final test on Friday.
I have been working with each child going through third quarter skills.  Most of the testing is going very well.  Next week we will start timed tests over addition math facts.  If it has been awhile since you have studied the addition math facts, I suggest getting the flash cards out of the book bag and doing some drill and practice with your child in the evenings.
