Routine

We are really getting into our daily routine.  I feel like we are settling into a good working pace and getting classroom objectives accomplished.
Tonight you will find the Word Journal notebook in the book bag with a new list of vocabulary words.  Please have the children read them to you.  When they know them without hesitation, sign the page and return the notebook to school with them.
On Friday, I sent home a fliers of Scholastic book orders. If you would like to order on line, the code is on the top flier.  If you would like to order with the hard copy, send the flier with the choices back to school with a check for the correct amount by Friday, September 2.  I will send these fliers home periodically throughout the year. 
We went to the computer lab today.  The students navigated through the directions very well.  It was a great way to start off the third week of school.
Thanks for your responses to the children in the Friday Journal.  Some of them were so thrilled this morning as they walked in the door to tell me " My mom wrote to me!"
