Catholic Schools Week

Next week is packed full of fun activities to celebrate our Catholic School Community.  I am going to try to outline key points for you to remember so your child can come prepared to school for the day's events.  This is by no means a complete list for the week's activities.  Check the School News Letter for all the details.
Monday is a DRESS DOWN DAY.
 Be on the look out as you drop your child off in the morning a special greeting. 
The entire school is competing in a Penny War to benefit the new play ground.  There are prizes given to the class with the highest amount of donations.  So clean out the pockets and send in those pennies.
Bring in the items for the Boxes of Joy.
Tuesday is the School Volunteer Breakfast for those adults that give of their service here at school.  Please RSVP to Mrs Ralston.
Keep sending in those pennies.
First grade Family Fun Night is at 6:00 pm in MLG.
Continue to bring in the items for the Boxes of Joy.
Wednesday The Penny War continues.  Today the grade with the fullest container gets and extra recess!!!!
Each students may bring in 50 cents for the Bake Sale.
Don't forget about the items for the Boxes of Joy.
Thursday  Today the students may dress like a saint in training.  In other words, wear comfy clothes you would wear to the gym to train in or fitness wear.  Just remember to keep it within the dress down day rules.
The Penny War continues.
A letter was sent about donating items for the Boxes of Joy for the religious in our area.  Thursday is the last day to bring those items in.
Friday    The Penny War continues!
This afternoon the 8th grade will play the teachers in volleyball. The children may bring money to buy one drink and one snack during the game with each item costing $1 a piece.

With all of that being said, I will not be sending home a new list of Word Journal vocabulary.  There will be a new list of spelling words with the pretest on Wednesday and the final test on Friday.  There will probably be math homework on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
