Thank you to all the parents who donated time and goodies to make the Christmas party for the children such a big success. It was very well organized and fun for the children.
I also want to say thank you for the many wonderful Christmas gifts. I enjoyed the gift cards, home made treats and the sparkling jewels!
As the new year begins, so does the third quarter. There is a note in the FISH folder tonight from the first grade teachers about spelling tests, the 100th Day of School and the third quarter skills.
You should also find the list of six spelling words for this week. We will have a pretest on
Thursday, 1-5. Any one that gets all the words correct on Thursday does not have to take the final test on Friday, 1-6.
This week there will not be a new list of Word Journal vocabulary. There will be math homework every night and the nightly reading this week.
Just a friendly reminder, we are off school this upcoming Monday, January 9th, for Inauguration Day. Then the next day is an early 1:30 pm dismissal with a dress down day. Mark the calendars now!
